Days 1-2: Travel from Boston to Japan, with an overnight layover in Seattle.
Days 3-4: Tokyo

Day 5: Day trip to Kawagoe
This beautiful, historic area is filled with must-visit shrines, temples, and historic landmarks. The perfect place to engage with the culture and history of Japan.
Day 6: Hiroshima
Take the Shinkansen from Tokyo Station to Hiroshima to explore a new city with a mix of guided tours and independent wandering.
Day 7: Day trip to Miyajima
A day packed full of beautiful nature and peaceful wandering, Miyajima is the perfect day-trip from Hiroshima.
Day 8: Travel to Ryokan
Hop back on the Shinkansen from Hiroshima to Arima, where you’ll transfer to a local train for the rest of your journey to Ryokan. Check in to your hotel and Ryokan and relax with a trip to the zen spa.
